Requirements for the Certification of Debts


Important Notes

  • The Commission of Administration of Currencies (CADIVI) has laid out the respective legalization or annotations, as per the case, for those users whose commercial invoices account for more than forty five days, as a requisite for the presentation of this before the foreign exchange operator.
  • A pre established format or model of Certification of Debts does not exist, however,  in agreement with the foreign exchange regulations, it must contain the following requisites:
  • Identification of the external creditor
  • Identification of the debtor
  • Existence of debt in the foreign currency
  • Object of obligation
  • Invoice number
  • Fiscal identification ID Tax or Rif of the creditor company and the debtor company
    • It should be translated into Spanish when needed.
    • It should be duly LEGALIZED by the local corresponding authority.
      • It should be written off by the consular rights for a total of fifty dollars ($50), hundred and sixty five Ringgit (RM 175)
